Brand Strategy & Creative Direction FAQs
A graphic designer focuses on creating the visuals. As a Brand Strategist and Creative Director, I'm looking at the bigger picture. Who's your audience? How is your business positioned? Why should someone choose you over your competitors, and how do we make sure your branding communicates that?I don't just want your business to look good. I want every creative decision to have a purpose and help move your business in the right direction.
Absolutely, that's one of the main reasons I do what I do. Your branding influences how people perceive your business, what they think you're worth and how much they're willing to pay you.If your branding makes you look like the cheaper option, you're going to have a much harder time justifying premium prices. Good brand strategy helps change that perception, attract customers who value what you offer and put you in a stronger position to grow. Of course, branding alone can't guarantee more sales, but it can make a significant difference to how your business competes.
If your branding doesn't represent your business anymore, you're attracting the wrong customers or people aren't understanding your value, I'd probably start there. If your branding is already doing its job but your website is outdated, confusing or making it difficult for customers to take action, then web design might be your priority. And sometimes it's both. I'll always tell you what I think your business actually needs rather than try to sell you something you don't.
Of course, provided there's a solid foundation to work with. I'm not going to tell you to throw away perfectly good branding just because I didn't design it.But if your existing identity is inconsistent, limiting what we can create or simply not communicating the right message, I'll tell you that too. Sometimes a few refinements are enough, and other times a complete rebrand makes more sense.
Both! I've worked with businesses at different stages, from founders building something from scratch to established businesses that have completely outgrown their current branding. What matters more to me is where you're trying to take your business and whether you're ready to approach your branding as an investment in its growth, rather than just something that needs to look pretty.
I start by getting to know your business. And I mean properly getting to know it. Your audience, competitors, goals, challenges, what makes you different and where you want to be in the future. From there, I develop the creative direction and start bringing everything together visually, making sure there's a reason behind the decisions I'm making. The exact process depends on what we're creating, but I'll walk you through it so you understand what's happening and why.
That depends on what your business actually needs. Some businesses need a complete brand strategy, visual identity and website, while others might only need one part of that.I don't believe in charging you for things you don't need, so I'll put together a proposal based on your business, the scope of work and what we're trying to achieve. You'll know exactly what's included and what the investment is before we get started.
It depends on the scope of the project. A brand identity is a very different undertaking from a complete rebrand with a custom website.Once we've discussed what you're after, I'll give you a realistic timeline with clear milestones so you know what to expect. I don't believe in dragging projects out unnecessarily, but I'm also not interested in rushing through work just to get it out the door.
I offer brand strategy, visual identity, website design and creative direction, which means I can help with much more than just your logo or website.Whether it's the overall direction of your brand, campaign visuals, packaging, content or even the look and feel of a physical space, I love bringing the different parts of a business together so everything feels connected. If you've got something in mind that doesn't quite fit into a traditional design service, ask me. There's a good chance it's something I can help with.
Absolutely. I work remotely, so you don't need to be in the same city or even the same country as me.Everything from our initial conversations to presentations, feedback and final deliverables can be handled online. Good branding isn't limited by geography.
