THE LOCATION

We’re moving to Montefrío, Spain! It all started with us falling in love with a house there.... Yes, without seeing it in person or even visiting Spain before.

We know it sounds a bit crazy, but we’ve never been ones to follow convention, and we just knew this was the right place for us. As luck would have it, we later discovered that our backyard looks onto Montefrío, which is rated #4 on National Geographic’s Top 10 Views in the World list.

It’s a quiet village nestled in the Andalusian mountains, about 50 minutes from Granada and 1 hour and 15 minutes from Málaga. This charming little spot is set to become our new home, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

THE PLAN

Once we arrive, the plan is simple: get our hands dirty! The first two years will be dedicated to renovating our new home and turning it into the place of our dreams.

We’re going to be busy bees, but we’d love for you to follow along on our journey. To make that easy, we’re planning to document everything... every renovation, every adventure, and all the ups and downs.
